Work Hours/Shift:
  • Full-Time, Monday – Friday

You Will Be Responsible For:

Employee Volunteer Program

  • Identify, organize and implement employee volunteer activities for the corporate services community involvement program.
  • Manage planning and logistics for community involvement activities including communication, partner expectations, t-shirt distribution and attendance records.
  • Design and implement community involvement fundraisers, including the United Way campaign and donation drives.
  • With the manager, collaborate with community-based organizations to develop skills-based engagement initiatives.
  • Design and manage engagement activities for community involvement champions, including consistent communication, training, recognition and special events.

Board Strategy

  • Help identify opportunities for board engagement, maintain database and provide support for placements.
  • Support engagement with current and potential board members regularly to track hours, seek feedback and share information.
  • Lead table placements and ticket allocation for corporate-sponsored community events such as galas or luncheons, partnering with hospital regions when applicable.

Team Management and Activities

  • Accurately track and report qualifying community engagement activities to community benefit every quarter.
  • Research and identify best practices in corporate social responsibility for continuous efficncies and effectiveness, as requested.
  • Represent AdventHealth at community activities and events as requested by supervisor.
  • Support the implementation of advocacy priority area efforts identified in the CHNAs.

Qualifications
What You Will Need:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in community relations, nonprofit management, public administration or related field.
  • 2-years experience in community partnerships, philanthropy, volunteer programs, program coordination, event planning or corporate citizenship.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and ability to compose or present clear, concise messages for varied audiences.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills; proven ability to multi-task and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to deal with changing priorities, manage time efficiently and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of community organizations and the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with a high degree of tact.
  • Natural disposition toward customer service and relationship management.
  • Data management and analysis.
  • Team-oriented and proactive self-motivated professional.
  • Strong Microsoft application skills- PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook.
Job Summary:

As a member of the community team, the community involvement coordinator, working with the manager, assumes responsibility for assisting in the development and operations of meaningful community engagement initiatives to elevate AdventHealth’s commitment to improve community health, prosperity and well-being. This role will support and coordinate the employee volunteer program, board placement strategy, fundraising campaigns and special events for corporate services teams, and cultivate strategic internal and external partnerships that advance community goals.
