You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Analyzes and evaluates, on a quantitative and/or qualitative basis, the effectiveness of Consumer Access staff in meeting goals and objectives
  • Promotes accurate measurements by working with facility contacts and reports quality related concerns to leadership
  • Collaborate with facility quality analysts and other areas impacted by Consumer Access workflows to develop strategies to maintain corporate consistency and compliance
  • Provides facility specific training recommendations in response to performance deficiencies, and promotes a collaborative environment by addressing issues in a constructive and proactive manner
  • Recognizes process improvement opportunities and actively participates in improvement plans; successfully implements new enhancements and products by working with local and corporate resources
  • Participates in testing of new technology workflows and ensures they are fully vetted for best practice prior to implementation
  • Clearly documents recommendations on how technologies may improve efficiencies and helps identify key solutions when it does not
  • Adhere to Corporate Compliance training requirements
  • Serves as a liaison between corporate team and facility patient access quality analysts
  • Responsible for documenting, troubleshooting, communicating and reporting issues
  • Uses discretion when discussing personnel/patient related issues that are confidential in nature
  • Provide audit feedback to corporate and local teams
  • Provide recommendations on policies and procedures that will better improve efficiency of employees and/or improve our consumer
  • Identify training needs based on trends and error frequency and provide feedback to leadership
  • Incorporates patient, physician, customer needs and concerns into decision-making and organizational action
  • Ability to meet necessary travel requirements

What You Will Need:
  • Associate degree in business administration or related field
  • One year of Hospital Revenue Cycle related experience
  • Understanding of hospital Revenue Cycle and its various functions
  • Maintains high standard of patient billing procedural knowledge
  • Intermediate knowledge of computers, programs, internet use and typing skills
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology
  • Has general understanding of managed care contracts
  • Exhibits proficient presentation skills
Job Summary:

The Consumer Access Auditor, under supervision, is responsible for monitoring facility adherence to established best practice workflows. Develops quality assurance programs in coordination with facility leaders and quality analysts and performs regular audits on facility workflows to identify areas for improved performance of all staff. Works with leadership and training teams to ensure appropriate educational materials are available for new hire, refresher, and mitigation efforts to meet standards established. Compiles metrics of facility accuracy rate for corporate review.
