Work Hours/Shift:
Full-time Day Shift
You Will Be Responsible For:
- Reviews monthly departmental financial statements and research material variances to budget anbd prior period
- Changes staffing levels to reflect appropriate productive hours per unit of service
- Complies with accrediting agencies standards to ensure the hosptial maintains accreditation
- Works with Employment Recruiter for staffing, which may include: selection/ascreening, interviews and reference checks
- Addresses progressive counseling through verbal and written communication. Consults with HR for guidance in progressive counseling and terminations
- Provides specific feedback on the annual evaluation to each employee as to his or her contribution to patient satisfaction. Sets specific goals for employees scoring satisfactory or lower
- Collaborates with CNO ans staff members to establish, define and refine departmental goals consistent with the hospital's mission and goals taking into consideration all populations served
- Collaborates with physicians as needed concerning patient care and patient satisfaction
- Conforms to all AdventHealthg Manchester policies and procedures
Qualifications
What You Will Need:
- Current KY RN license
- ASN required; BSN or MSN preferred
- CEN preferred
- Requires 2-3 years hospital management experience and a minimum of 5 years clinical experience
- Maintains certification in CPI, BLS, ACLS & PALS
Job Summary:
The Emergency Department Director monitors the overall performance of the Emergency Dept by providing instruction and direction to staff on a daily basis. Responsible for customer satisfaction, financial management, regulatory compliance, HR issues, employee competwncy, PI, maintaining and complying with policy & procedures and regular communication with employees.
