Work Hours/Shift:

Full Time Evening

4:00PM – 12:30AM
Monday – Friday
*Every other weekend
You Will Be Responsible For:                     
  • Utilizes a detailed knowledge of Room Care, Routine, and Project Environmental Services functions
  • Uses infection control practices related to Environmental Services.
  • Uses chemical safety and understands the use of each chemical as related to Environmental Services.
  • Utilizes waste management practices.
  • Supervises routine workers.
  • Communicates with other departments and ES associates to coordinate tasks.
  • Utilize the Capacity Management program to ensure dismissal throughput.

What You Will Need:
  • 2 to 5 Years of Position-Related Experience
  • Knowledge of all healthcare cleaning techniques
  • Knowledge of all ES safety practices
  • Knowledge of Infection Prevention
Job Summary:

The ESW-Lead supervises routine/room care workers and coordinates associates engaged in maintaining a clean and orderly condition throughout the institution in patient care and ancillary areas. This position performs Quality Control as directed.  Strives for, and ensures customer satisfaction in all areas of responsibility.  Assigns routine associates to specific tasks. Records and maintains all documentation as requested by the supervisor. Educates and trains new associates.  This position demonstrates new techniques and equipment.  Practices cost containment involving supplies and equipment purchases. Utilizes Capacity Management to process discharges, runs the Ultraviolet Light machine (IRIS) in Isolation rooms. Takes periodic inventory.
