You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Provide a safe, functional, and attractive environment through routine and emergency repairs and preventive maintenance throughout AdventHealth Care Pavilion. 

  • Allocate internal and contracted resources necessary to accomplish preventive maintenance, repairs on, and/or replacement of the equipment and infrastructure of all buildings and grounds.

  • Partner with leadership to maintain a high level of accountability within the department.

  • Mentor and develop existing staff and establish staff scheduling to provide for adequate facility coverage.

  • Develop annual budget for Facility Services within the framework established by AdventHealth executive leadership.

  • Review and approval of all departmental related expenditures.

  • Manage all utility related activities including electrical, natural gas, water, sewer, and medical gases.

  • Direct authority over PeopleSoft Computerized Maintenance Management System in conjunction with AdventHealth AIT protocols.

  • Complete an annual review of departmental policies, including but not limited to “Confined Spaces Policy,” Above Ceiling Work Policy,” and “Wall, Ceiling, Floor Penetration Policy.”

  • Implement and maintain a Barrier Management Program.

Qualifications

What You Will Need:

  • Exceptional inter-personal skills.

  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Communication, both written and verbal, through all levels of the organization.

  • Preparation and management of budget for assigned departments.

  • Understanding productivity levels and processes.

  • Basic knowledge of MEP system operations as related to healthcare facilities.

  • Management and supervision of contracts for outside goods and services.

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and construction documents.

  • Understanding of various Florida state agency requirements as related to facility operations preferred.

  • Strong background in Life Safety Code.

  • Associates degree required.

  • Five years’ experience in healthcare maintenance related work required.

  • Driver’s license  

  • Leader of Facility Services staff.

  • Contract Management and direct oversight of Bio-Medical Engineering, Security, and Valet Parking.

Job Summary:

The Facility Operations Manager at AdventHealth Care Pavilion and is directly responsible for the day-to-day operations required to keep the pavilion campus functioning within designed specifications and code requirements.  The Facility Manager is responsible for the acquisition, training, and direction of staff in the Facility Services department.  This position requires strong collegial and professional interaction with all departments of the care pavilion. 

The Facility Operations Manager has direct oversight and contract management of the Bio-Medical Engineering, Security Services and Valet Parking operations.

The Facility Operations Manager will play a key role regarding management and maintenance of the Environment of Care (EOC), Emergency Management, and Life Safety chapters within The Joint Commission, as well as serving on various committees as assigned throughout the System; including but not limited to The Joint Commission Committee, Safety Committee, and Emergency Preparedness Committee.

The Facility Operations Manager must have the skills and background necessary to participate in activities related to the decision-making processes and development of new facility construction and renovation of existing areas.
