Work Hours/Shift:

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Studies existing systems and associated payroll processes for overall effectiveness and develops new processes to improve productivity, quality and maximize the value of the software.
  • Maintains awareness of management responsibilities and project status including any potential delays, situations or concerns that may affect outcomes. 
  • Reviews documentation for all phases of software development life cycle. 
  • Manages risk, scope, and project planning and escalates issues as appropriate.
  • Has a clear vision of the project deliverable and is involved in the daily micromanagement of tasks to ensure strict adherence to the envisioned plan within defined timelines.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of payroll principles and has a strong understanding of business processes including applications, technology and business process to anticipate, assess and define potential needs. 
  • Documents requirements that defines scope and objectives, and formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies.  Ensures the integrity, security, effectiveness and efficiency of the software.
  • Performs triage when payroll system issues arise; understands the sense of urgency and can distinguish between items that are critical vs. non-critical.  Works directly with technical support team to resolve any critical issues, providing guidance and decision-making.
  • Responsible for managing one or many projects or initiatives, depending on scope and complexity, to deliver the agreed project outcomes and objectives within the agreed scope, quality, effort, resources, risks, timeframe, contractual framework and customer satisfaction.
  • Review, analyze and evaluate company functions, processes, and activities to improve computer-based business applications for the most effective use of money, materials, equipment, and people.
  • Creates and maintains project plans, status reports, and checklists.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of core accounting and business processes related to processing payrolls, from beginning to end.
  • Facilitates, identifies, evaluates and monitors cross-team functional integration.
  • Demonstrates verbal ability to analyze issues and effectively present ideas and views to audiences at various levels.  Able to lead group efforts toward the resolution of complex problems in a professional, courteous impartial manner.
  • Demonstrates high level conceptual and analytical skills and the ability to foster a culture of learning by exploring creative solutions.
  • Effectively prepares and presents functional and/or educational documentation of assigned projects and/or systems to enhance the knowledge of customers/users.
  • Expert user of PeopleSoft and/or ERP software related to payroll processes and completes internal and external documentation for all phases of software development life cycle.
  • Aware of current and emerging trends in healthcare business process and information management/technology and its potential application.
  • Develops and provides input to create policies and procedures related to system process
  • Assists in development of training/implementation timelines.
  • Creates effective internal and external training documentation related to payroll processes for implementation and provides a bridge between implementation and training by guiding customer through process.

Qualifications
What You Will Need:
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 8 or more years of experience in related field
  • Experience in a large hospital or multi-hospital system
  • Experience in ERP environments
  • Extensive experience with Oracle PeopleSoft HCM.
  • High degree of proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Thorough understanding of accounting and finance related concepts preferred
 
Job Summary:

The Finance iSynergy Manager (Payroll) has an extensive background in the entire Payroll and Time & Attendance processes and is responsible for leading in the design, build, implementation, training, evaluation, testing and maintenance of the assigned software, including ongoing production support.   Review, analyze and evaluate company functions, processes, and activities to improve computer-based business applications for the most effective use of money, materials, equipment, and people.  Documents requirements defines scope and objectives and formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies.  Manages team members assigned to the payroll-system support team. Ensures the integrity, security, effectiveness and efficiency of the software.  Responsible for managing one or many projects or initiatives, depending on scope and complexity, to deliver the agreed project outcomes and objectives within the agreed scope, quality, effort, resources, risks, timeframe, contractual framework and customer satisfaction.
