Work Hours/Shift:
  • Full-time/Days
You Will Be Responsible For:
  • Hires, trains, evaluates and manages all non-clinical float staff. 
  • Coordinates the strategic filling of positions temporarily unoccupied. (i.e. Unoccupied by staff who are ill, on LOA, vacation or training leaves. May be asked to assist with call-outs.)
  • May provide reporting and strategic plans for future float staff needs.
  • Maintains solid working relationship with outside staffing agencies while striving to minimize costs.
  • Ensures compliance with organization’s staffing policies as well as procedures.
  • May travel 25-50% of time to determine performance or float pool staffing needs.


What You Will Need:

  • Associate’s degree and two (2) or more years of experience in a healthcare practice or supervision, or
    • High School degree and four (4) or more years of experience in a healthcare practice
  • Knowledge of health care operations’ best practices
  • Knowledge of human resources management techniques, principles and practices
  • Excellent communicator in all formats
  • Must have excellent customer service, time management, negotiation skills
Job Summary:

The Float Pool Supervisor, under the direction of the Senior Manager Float Pool, is responsible for staffing and managing the non-clinical internal float pool and effectively deploying employees based on the needs of physician practices and departments.
