You Will Be Responsible For:
  • Prepare the floor stock cart with the necessary supplies to stock each nursing unit.
  • Use the appropriate par levels approved by nursing.
  • Stock each nursing unit with the supplies needed to maintain adequate supplies for patients.
  • Coordinate with each nurse manager to adjust pars as volumes fluctuate. Leverage your knowledge and relationships to seek their buy in before making any changes.
  • Be proactive to understand the changing needs of our patient.
  • Communicate key recommendations and changes to the Patient Services Manager for approval.
  • Leverage your knowledge and influence to gain insight on key initiatives or problem to improve Nutritional Services performance. 
  • Ensure proper labeling, dating, storage of all areas.
  • Properly rotate (First In/First Out), of all food delivered and used.
  • Review each refrigerator weekly to ensure an internal thermometer is in each unit.
  • Monitor proper temperature of refrigerator and record readings daily.
  • Responsible for cleaning the refrigerators in all areas.
  • Review the dry storage areas in the nursing units for organization and cleanliness.
  • Responsible for safety and following HACCP standards for food storage.
  • Delivers food to physician’s lounge, stock and maintain cleanliness as needed. Review the food program and make recommendation based on feedback and your observation for improvements.
Qualifications
What You Will Need:
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Must have basic math skills and ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English.
  • Must have computer competency skills for emails and data entry.
  • Ability to review current processes and programs for improvement.
  • Strong written, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • At least 2 years of food service experience preferred.
  • Must demonstrate great organizational skills preferred.
  • Demonstrates computer literacy in Excel and Microsoft office preferred.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • High School graduate or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree in Business or related field preferred.
  • Certified Dietary Manager Certificate preferred.
  • ServSafe Certified preferred.
