You Will Be Responsible For:
  • Welcomes and greets members in a courteous and friendly manner. 
  • Answers incoming telephone calls in a professional, courteous and customer service related manner; takes messages or directs calls as appropriate. Calls are answered based on the customer service guidelines of Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel.
  • Enhance experience for patients, families and visitors by providing appropriate hospitality and concierge services.  Represents the Hospital appropriately to all “audiences” in a way that reflects well on the Hospital’s reputation and image.
  • Acts as the initial greeter for all patients/visitors entering the Main Front Lobby and Emergency Department.
  • Interacts with patients, families, visitors and significant others (VIPs).
  • Provides “Hospitality” to all patients/visitors.
  • Functions as an informational resource person.
  • Replenishes reading material in Main Front Lobby, ED and X–ray waiting rooms and the Family Room.
  • Conducts periodic daily rounds to check on people in the waiting areas and lobbies.
  • Will do just about anything to service the needs of patients, visitors, clients, employees, etc.
  • Performs work of equal skill and responsibility as directed.  May also perform work of higher level in preparation for increased responsibility and may be requested to perform work of lesser or higher responsibility when the work load of the department so requires.
  • Attends all required Safety Training programs and can describe his/her responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety, specific job related hazards.
  • Follows the Hospital Exposure Control Plans/Bloodborne and Airborne Pathogens.
  • Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible and courteous environment.
  • Promotes effective working relations and works effectively as part of a department/unit team inter and intra departmentally to facilitate the department's/unit's ability to meet its goals and objectives.

What You Will Need:
  •  Must have highly developed social and communication skills.
  •  Excellent judgment and the ability to stay calm and level–headed in difficult situations.

  • Equivalent of four (4) years of high school.
  • Customer service experience required.
  • Computer experience required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ relevant experience, preferably in hospital or hospitality industry.
Job Summary:

Reporting to the Manager of Guest Services, the Front Desk/Concierge engages in the activities of the front desk to ensure that optimum efficiency and customer service is provided to members; patients and guests.
