You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Resolve all patient concerns or questions in a professional, courteous and efficient manner.
  • To be well informed and follow inter/intra departmental policy, including JCAHO and HIPAA.
  • Update accounts with correct demographic information within CPA including all insurance information as appropriate.
  • Respond to our Spanish speaking customer service calls.
  • Scan and index all EOB's are indexed with 24 hours of posting
  • Scan and index all other correspondence within 48 hours of receipt.
  • Maintain and submit all loan applications with 24 hours of work item in your CPA work list.
  • Receive and receipt payments or set up patient payment arrangements as requested by guarantors.
  • Process Notices of Bankruptcy received the same day as received to ensure compliance with all federal, state and local laws.
  • Treat all patients and co-workers with respect at all times.
  • Work special projects when assigned by director or designee.
  • Cross train and fill in other areas as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.


What You Will Need:
  • A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent      
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong keyboard and 10 key skills
  • Advanced degree in any field of study
  • Prior Medicare and hospital billing background
  • Knowledge of Medicare rules and regulations
Job Summary:
Under supervision, ensures expeditious and accurate payments on patient accounts.  Answers and responds to telephone inquiries about billing and make financial arrangements for patients to ensure prompt and accurate resolution is achieved.  Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.  Adheres to Florida Hospital Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies
