Work Hours/Shift: PRN Days

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Perform, review, approve and maintain quality control testing on various testing kits
  • Sets up and adjusts lab instruments as required
  • Performs the follow-up on failed proficiency testing results
  • Inventory, stock & rotate supplies
  • Perform and interpret various testing procedures on donor and hospital specimens and blood products
  • Provide information for diagnosis, treatment and disease prevention
  • Performs calibrations on all equipment  



Qualifications
What You Will Need:
  • Associate in Science in Medical Laboratory Technician, biology, chemistry or related science to meet certification requirements
  • One year of approved clinical experience
  • MLT ASCP or other nationally recognized certification agency preferred

Job Summary:

Under the immediate supervision of the Laboratory Manager, the Medical Technician performs clinical testing in one or more of the following areas of the laboratory: Blood Bank, Microbiology, Serology, Chemistry, Hematology and Urinalysis.
