Work Hours/Shifts:
Full-time Day Shift-Surgical Services 

You Will Be Responsible For:

Reviews patient satisfaction results with staff at staff meeting and through other avenues of communication

•    Discusses ways in which employees can contribute to patient satisfaction.  Departmental minutes reflect documentation not less than quarterly

•    Assists the Director with annual/90 day evaluations and discusses with employees as to his or her contribution to patient satisfaction.

•    Responsible for department payroll.  This includes collaboration with employees, payroll office and other departments as needed.  Assists with conducting department meetings, including staff meetings.  Responsible for meeting minutes

Complies with Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (TJC) 

Works with Director for staffing needs, which may include:  selection/screening and interviews

•    Ensures employees are orientated within Gordon Hospital and their respective department, as well as reviewing employee‘s job description with employee

What You Will Need:

  • Minimum of three years experience practicing as a Registered Nurse in Surgical Services
  • Two years of leadership or supervisory experience in a healthcare setting
  • Valid Georgia Nursing Licenses
  • BSN Degree
  • BCLS certification
  • ACLS and PALS certification within six months of hire
  • CNOR 

Job Summary:

The Manager will be responsible for all the following duties and responsibilities in collaboration with the Department Director. These will include, but are not limited to: customer satisfaction, financial management, regulatory compliance, human resources issues, employee competency, performance improvement, maintaining and complying with policies and procedures and regular communication with employees. The Manager provides leadership and oversight with all unit functions and patient care issues on a day-to- day basis. Occasional duties and responsibilities will occasionally occur outside of typical office hours.
