Work Hours/Shift:

 Full Time Days

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Assures all foods are protected in safe zones and date labeled as appropriate

  • Conducts daily team conferences and assures total participation from all staff

  • Conducts employee conferences when behavior or performance dictates

  • Daily instructs employees according to functions to be performed

  • Maintains attendance records for the department

  • Orders department stock and supplies when indicated

  • Plans, assists and helps execute special events when indicated

  • Receives and checks stock from vendor delivery

  • Reschedules for the department and calls employees in when absence causes a burden to the department

  • Assists in the completion of employee charges

  • Assists in the completion of month-end reports

  • Assures the training and in-service of all new employees as indicated

  • May serve as cashier in retail

  • Accurately and efficiently conducts transitions on the cafeteria line

  • Demonstrates “Service Excellence” skills when greeting and dealing with all customers

  • Is aware of the cleanliness and sanitation of the dining room and server at all times

  • Assures that all products and stock is rotated and well stocked at all times

  • Coordinates with other staff to assure the timeliness and delivery of all foods and service

  • Accurately cashes out drawer daily

  • Assists staff with employee charge transactions

  • Enters department charges information into the electronic system

  • Serves as host to the dining room

  • Performs other job duties as assigned


What You Will Need:

  • Food safety and sanitation

  • Basic food preparation

  • Dish machine and possibly other minor kitchen equipment

  • Basic math skills

  • Read, write and speak English

  • Minimum of one (1) year cashier experience

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred

    Food service experience preferred

  • ServSafe certification with one (1) year of hire

Job Summary:

Performs a wide range of departmental duties and coordinates a multitude of department procedures.  Is responsible for maintaining a smooth operation and supervision of all staff during assigned shift.  May be responsible for completing job tasks for direct reports.  Demonstrates and promotes cost containment practices.  Assures department compliant with policies and procedures at all times.
