Work Hours/Shift:
Part Time Days - to work up to full time
12 Hour Shifts
Monday plus one additional day, including weekend rotation
You Will Be Responsible For:
  • Work collaboratively with all departments and leaders in addressing patient placement and throughput.
  • Demonstrate teamwork by maintaining a cheerful, helpful, and service attitude toward all guests and co-workers.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with leadership by communicating openly, being supportive and keeping them informed.
  • Incorporate patient, physician, customer needs and concerns into decision-making and organizational action.
  • Demonstrate patient advocacy and the ability to promote customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain an organized work flow system.
  • Take initiative to complete mandatory job requirements; assume responsibility for my role in performance development.
  • Take initiative to be informed about new equipment, technology, forms, credentialing and practice changes, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrate and convey a favorable image of the Medical Center.
  • Notify departments in a timely manner regarding patient admissions.
  • Display an ability to learn rapidly and adapt quickly to changing situations.
  • Know available resources to assist with problem solving and seek help when appropriate.
  • Be willing to accept ultimate responsibility for actions and mistakes.
  • Demonstrate an acceptance and support of change throughout the department and Medical Center.
  • Display dependability by following through on assignments, being on time, and avoiding excessive absences.
  • Take initiative to be informed regarding new equipment, technology, forms, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Seek information, anticipate needs, and respond appropriately to the units relating to patient placement.
  • Display considerable flexibility to assist with problem solving during unexpected situations.
  • Provide continuous communication throughout the day to Patient Placement Coordinator.
  • Pay meticulous attention to detail.
  • Seek opportunities to learn about individual patient care units and skill sets of staff.
  • Participate in department quality and process improvement activities.
  • Organize and prioritize work assignments to accommodate work environment during high census and sudden emergencies.
What You Will Need:
  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing
    Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or obtained within 4 years of employment
  • Kansas Registered Nurse License
  • BCLS obtained through the American Heart Association
  • 1 to 2 Years of Experience in Acute inpatient hospital Nursing (ie. MSU, CCU, PCU, HNVU, Ortho or Oncology)
