Work Hours/Shift:
You Will Be Responsible For:
- Works with team to identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of patient care
- Performs quality assurance studies and assists with the implementation of quality assurance and/or improvement initiatives
- Monitors departmental compliance with regulatory and compliance requirements
- May assist with the marketing and advertising of programs and services
- Functions as a key decision maker for the interdisciplinary teams responsible for monitoring and improving program performance
- Facilitates the development and implementation of stroke-related educational initiatives for staff, patients, community, and emergency medical services
- Guides interdisciplinary team members in performance improvement and the incorporation of evidence-based practice protocols into the daily operations of the stroke program
- Assists in ensuring a high level of data accuracy and quality for stroke program reporting
- Works with community and professional organizations to further education and awareness about stroke prevention and treatment
- Provides outstanding customer service and maintains respectful relationships
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
What You Will Need:
- Up-to-date knowledge of adult neuroscience, stroke treatment, care, and prevention
- Ability to collaborate and coordinate with other health care professionals in the management and implementation of care within and across care settings and communities
- Ability to multitask and manage time to perform well on long-term projects, while maintaining flexibility to assimilate short-term projects on an ongoing basis
- Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals
- Ability to evaluate the status of the stroke program and assist with establishing program goals for improvement
- Ability to use sound judgment to handle potentially charged issues independently and understand when to escalate concerns
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to read, write and speak conversational English
- Three years of Clinical experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current valid State license as a Registered Nurse (RN) as needed for regulatory requirements. Where not required, a current valid State license as an Allied Health Clinician i.e. (Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech Therapist) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker can substitute.

- Collaborates with medical and clinical leaders to coordinate clinical excellence in stroke-care across the facility.
