8:00AM – 4:30PM
You Will Be Responsible For:
- Greets patients and other calls in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner.
- Demonstrates good judgment in routing/answering phone call; assures that all in-coming calls are answered and screened, then directed to the appropriate area and that messages are relayed timely and to the appropriate area.
- Maintains a pleasant, caring attitude when communicating with all internal and external customers.
- Exhibits good judgment and time management skills to accomplish daily tasks.
- Schedules patient appointments in software as trained following scheduling procedures and standards.
- Current knowledge of ICD and CPT coding applications.
- Accepts flexibility of schedule to meet program needs.
- Maintains efficiency in patient work-up flow and triage responsibilities.
- Communicates information to patients and families and other providers and service representatives.
- Demonstrates care for one another by working all areas, open to change, sensitive to department needs, effectively participates in conflict resolution/problem solving.
- Collaborates with physician offices to monitors utilization of resources to deliver quality of care in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Demonstrates knowledge and compliance of AdventHealth Medical Group guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
What You Will Need:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 2 to 5 Years of Position-Related Experience
Job Summary:
The Scheduling Specialist will work seamlessly with patients, healthcare teams and resource providers in the Hospital setting, Physician Office and other facilities. The Scheduling Specialist is responsible for answering phones in a timely and professional manner while scheduling patients with physician offices via incoming and outbound calls. The Scheduling Specialist will be focused on customer service and creating an excellent patient experience while providing operational support in the delivery of patient care all within call center environment.
