You Will Be Responsible For:
- Assist with the Safety program at Gordon Hospital. Ensure that safe practices are followed which help with a healthy environment. Ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the Safety program.
- Responsible for assisting with the Environment of Care segment of Joint Commission and HFAP.
- Investigates, documents, and coordinates the resolution of safety related problems and issues. Directs the ongoing collection of safety related information about deficiencies and help implement opportunities for improvement in the facilities.
- Assist with a hospital-wide hazard surveillance program to identify and anticipate potential hazards or areas of non-compliance within the hospital.
- Assists Risk Management and Employee Health of any incident reporting that involves safety issues to visitors, staff, and volunteers. Help engineering coordinate the conduction of periodic tours and safety inspections of the facility.
Qualifications
What You Will Need:
- High School Diploma / GED
- At least 1-year experience and professional qualifications in the field of safety or security
- Required to have or obtain IAHSS certification within 6 months of assuming position
- Previous law enforcement or security related experience strongly preferred
Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Security Supervisor, provides a safe atmosphere for patients, visitors, and staff. To maintain good public relations with staff and other Department members.
