You Will Be Responsible For:
GENERAL SUMMARY:
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensures satisfactory and timely completion of assigned cleaning area according to schedule
- Performs housekeeping and cleaning activities within well established guidelines and assigned areas to ensure that quality standards, safety guidelines and customer service expectations are met
- Reports equipment/cleaning product needs and or malfunctions to supervisor in a timely fashion
- Collects and disposes of trash (contaminated or non-contaminated) in an appropriate manner. Collects and stages soiled linen for pick up • Demonstrates a complete knowledge of infection control, isolation procedures and proper operation of cleaning equipment. Maintains an appropriate level of knowledge relating to matters of sanitation, use of disinfectants, and reports any hazardous situations, and responds to any hazards and emergency situations. Also handles preparing safety data sheets (SDS)
- Must conduct staff in-services and training as related to the floor care staff. Trains floor maintenance staff on technique and proper use of equipment to ensure staff competency in the floor maintenance processes including but not limited to: refinishing of floors, carpet cleaning techniques, tile and grout cleaning
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High School Grad or Equiv and 1+ years experience
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
- Ability to maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition
- Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
