Work Hours/Shift:
  • Mon - Fri 8a-5p
You Will Be Responsible For:
  • Prepare monthly journal entries including one time, monthly, or reoccurring entries.
  • Record AHC/T-transfers and ensure all T-transfers for Centra Care have been recorded each month.
  • Prepare monthly deposit for all payments received by the accounting department and record those deposits to the appropriate GL account
  • Review and prepare journal entries for all overtime transfer requests received from managers.
  • Complete monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts (cash, accounts receivable, fixed assets, bad debt, contractual, etc.). This would include keeping detailed spreadsheets of the account and verifying that accounts were properly stated. Monitor internal controls.  Also, perform mini-audits on an annual basis.


What You Will Need:

  • B.S. Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • Needs to have a complete understanding of double entry accounting and needs an operation understanding of routine accounting functions
  • Ability to handle a large number of tasks and projects at one time
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Job Summary:

The Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting with all aspects of the month end close and financial statement analysis. This will include preparing/entering journal entries, posting AHC bank transfers, and completing/recording deposits. This position is also responsible for reconciling balance sheet accounts. Research and detailed analysis are an integral part of this position.  Additionally, extensive oral and written communication skills and the ability to train other key personnel are essential.  Actively participate in outstanding customer service and accept responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
