You Will Be Responsible For:
Coordinates the activities to assure nursing department staffing needs are identified:
Accurately performs job role without the need for close supervision.
Functions effectively in stressful situations and prioritizes efficiently and effectively.
Recognizes emergency situations and responds appropriately.
Assures daily staffing sheets are complete and accurate.
Reports staffing concerns/issues/resignations to appropriate manager or director.
2. Coordinates staffing within guidelines:
Coordinates daily communication of staffing needs with all three facilities to review staffing needs
Maintains staffing to department matrix, or nurse manager’s acuity direction
Assists with the development and maintenance of four-week staffing schedules as requested by the unit’s manager or director.
Communicates to all 3 campus daily
Participates in implementing new staffing policies/procedures as assigned.
Utilizes Part Time/Per Diem/Clinical Internal Agency/PRN Agency staff to alleviate overtime & agency use.
Reviews employee attendance of unscheduled time off (call-off) and communicate areas of concern to appropriate Nursing Managers/Directors
Provides education to staff including managers and directors to promote efficient and effective use of the electronic staffing program.
3.Maintains PRN Agency staffing information and files
• Assists Staffing Manager with PRN Agency orientation process
• Schedules PRN Agency staff for orientation with the approval of the Staffing Manager and/or Director of Nursing and assures all documentation is obtained.
• Obtains schedules from per diem internal float personnel
• Evaluate need for per diem internal float personnel by position and specialty
• Assigns per diem internal float personnel into schedules at all three facilities
• Assures that outside agency evaluations per policy are submitted and complete

5. Monitors compliance with Time and Attendance System
• Reviews internal per diem float staff adherence to time and attendance in regards to current policies (sick calls, tardiness) and document to agency and give counseling to personnel.
• Assists with completion of time and attendance input by individual nursing departments as requested.
6. OTHER DUTIES
