AdventHealth is seeking qualified candidates for Vice President Behavioral Health Services, Orlando, Florida.

The VP Behavioral Health Services will report directly to the Central Florida Division CEO and responsible to corporate Chief Clinical Officer. He/she is accountable for developing the adult and pediatric behavioral health strategy and ecosystem across the entire Central Florida Division’s continuum of care.

Principle Duties and Job Responsibilities:

  • Partners with market leadership to drive service line growth and expansion, consumer access and exceptional clinical outcomes which align to AdventHealth’s promise for whole-person care
  • Ensures delivery of exceptional care to patients and financial performance
  • Provides direction and support for in-patient and outpatient BH services such as Psychiatric Services, Substance Use Services, Mental Health, Psychosocial Rehabilitation services, Behavioral Health providers, and other clinical professionals may be part of this care continuum
  • Assumes responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care in all Behavioral Healthcare units
  • Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
  • Fosters a growth-oriented, success-driven and accountable culture throughout the service line
  • Leads Quality and Regulatory Compliance in Behavioral Health across the organization developing risk mitigation strategies and patient safety standards. 
  • Ensures all behavioral health programs meet required guidelines for DNV/CMS, AHCA, Department of Children and Families, Baker Act Law, and other applicable federal, state, and local regulatory agencies.
  • Strong knowledge of current regulatory requirements and trends, acting as a resource to executive leadership to ensure that AH behavioral health facilities are following Federal, State, and other regulatory agency requirements.
  • Oversees the organization’s financial metrics, financial accountability, and budgets through assistance of the Director of Finance
  • Monitors overall financial metrics monthly to provide maximum efficiency and promote best practices regarding cost containment.
  • Oversees the development, forecasting, implementation, and monitoring of the fiscal budget.

Education, Experience, and Licensure:

  • Bachelors Science degree in nursing or health related field
  • Six (6) years behavioral health experience in an acute care, outpatient, or psychiatric facility
  • Four (4) years of leadership experience in behavioral health setting
  • Previous experience as a behavioral health administrator preferred
