The role you’ll contribute:

The Clinical Manager/Registered Nurse (RN) is a specialized health care professional who collaborates with the Emergency Services Nursing Director and other leaders to provide education and leadership to the emergency department at AdventHealth Manchester. The Clinical Manager will focus on providing educational support to current staff, incoming staff, and support for new initiatives and programs including Emergency Management; Responsible for promoting Nursing Research and Evidence Based Practice. Demonstrates leadership through conflict resolution and service recovery with patients, families, physicians, and staff; Removes barriers to effectively implement strategic plan to achieve vision; Maintains clinical competency in order to provide patient care as appropriate; Ensures regulatory compliance.

  • Arrange for continuing education opportunities

  • Collaborates with director to provide performance evaluation feedback to staff.

  • Provide direct patient care in support of the staff when volume, acuity, or staffing needs arise.

  • Facilitates on-boarding of new staff members

  • Participates in interview process for new employees

  • Develops unit-based orientation program

  • Supports preceptor development and coordinates preceptor assignment

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

  • KY RN license

  • Graduate of accredited nursing school; BSN required or obtained within three years

  • Five or more years of recent Emergency Care experience

  • Three or more years of supervisory experience required

  • CEN preferred

  • Current BLS required and ACLS & PALS within 90 days of hire
