The role you’ll contribute:
Primarily responsible to carry out the treatment plan established by the Occupational Therapist for the rehabilitation of patients who have impairments, functional limitations, disabilities or changes in physical function and health status. Intervention is purposeful and skilled utilizing therapeutic exercise, psychosocial, sensorimotor and perceptual motor skills and other procedures to produce changes in the condition consistent with the diagnosis and prognosis. Interact and collaborate with the patient and family as well as the clinical team.

Provides occupational therapy intervention based on the plan of care
Provides therapeutic exercises to develop strength and endurance, range of motion and flexibility; therapeutic activity to improve activities of daily living, use of adaptive equipment and adaptation of physical environment; neuromuscular re-education to improve balance, coordination, kinesthetic sense, posture, and proprioception; fine motor training, perceptual and cognitive retraining, sensorimotor activities, and other activities within the scope of practice
Provides modalities including ultrasound and electrical stimulations (if certified), hot/cold packs, as ordered •Instructs the patient and caregiver in care and use of adaptive devices and techniques and the patient's occupational therapy program including the home program
Observes and records activities and findings in the clinical record and reports to the occupational therapist and/or physician the patient's reaction to treatment and any changes in patient's condition, or when there are deviations from the plan of care
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications :
Associate’s and 1 years of experience
Minimum requirement is an Associate degree in Occupational Therapist Assistant with at least one year of experience under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
Basic Life Support certification
Occupational Therapy Assistant Florida license
