Interventional Pulmonologist, Director- AdventHealth, Orlando, Florida
AdventHealth Orlando and AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) are looking for a dynamic and innovative physician with leadership experience to join and lead out our Interventional Pulmonology Program for the AdventHealth System. This position would have dedicated administrative time and clinical involvement within Interventional and General Pulmonology.
The physician will work with our currently experienced and established pulmonologists, advanced lung disease specialists, thoracic surgeons, pulmonology transplant medical/care team to help continue to grow and establish a high quality and highly sustainable Interventional Pulmonology program throughout the AdventHealth System in Central Florida. This is truly an amazing opportunity to continue to build and cultivate this program in one of the busiest systems in the U.S.
Responsibilities would include the following: leading the clinical quality for Interventional Pulmonology including quality metrics and quality assurance teams; active participation in regional, national, and international meetings and conferences, education of staff, community outreach and program development.
Additional responsibilities but not limited to:
Leading our Interventional Pulmonary Program
Setting performance criteria for the system
Access to a new, state of the art Monarch Navigation system
Evaluating and maintaining an appropriate database of vital statistics
Hiring and retaining future superior physicians & APP oversight
Advising senior administration on system Interventional Pulmonology strategy
Helping to advance AdventHealth into a world class IP Service
The Medical Director will also provide administrative liaison activity with key core members surrounding the IP structure in our system. These include physician members of the medical staff, Emergency Department, Department of Surgery and other critical care units, respiratory therapy, imaging, nursing services, pharmacy, clinical laboratories, and referring health care facilities and providers.
The Medical Director's primary location will be located at AdventHealth Orlando, Florida just outside downtown Orlando close to the charming Winter Park community.
