The community you’ll be caring for:

  • AdventHealth Apopka is a seven-story, 120-bed hospital offering an extensive range of services including expanded surgical services, advanced surgical suites and a catheterization lab

  • The hospital also features a 30,000-square-foot emergency department with pediatric-friendly beds, imaging services, a full-service cafeteria, chapel, gift shop and on-site fire station

  • The hospital opened in December 2017, replacing the 50-bed hospital that AdventHealth had operated in downtown Apopka for more than four decades

The role you’ll contribute:

Responsible for accurate and timely processing of all sales transactions. Each sales associate is to be knowledgeable on products offered and they are to provide superior customer service. Assists the supervisor in stocking shelves and maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the shop. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility for maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

  • Expands knowledge base and keeps current on new products, trends, et cetera

  • Assists manager with displays and restocking shelves

  • Verifies that products have tags

  • Efficient in operating the POS system. Accurate and timely in processing customer transactions and performing opening and closing operations

  • Participates in keeping the store clean and organized

  • Assists manager in achieving budgetary goals and quality initiatives

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

  • Knowledge about working in the retail industry

  • Should be able to make decisions and multi-task under pressure

  • Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English

  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)

  • One year of technical experience
