· Developed s a regional center for the fields of medical care and education

· In addition to its public-school system, it has several private schools. Higher-level educational institutions include private Berry College and Shorter University, and the public Georgia Northwestern Technical College and Georgia Highlands College.

· Largest city near the center of the triangular area defined by the Interstate highways between Atlanta, GA, Birmingham, AL, and Chattanooga, TN.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

To perform all MRI procedures with quality service in a timely manner on all patients within the hospital setting. Works with director of radiology, radiologist and MRI staff to make improvements and reports QA data for review.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

· Ability to deal efficiently, ethically, and courteously with all patients and hospital personnel. Excellent verbal and written skills to facilitate communication with medical personnel that addresses the physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and age appropriate needs of the patient population served within the organization.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

· High School Diploma or GED, Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program or Graduate of an accredited MRI Program

· Prior training and experience required

· BLS certification at employment or within one month of employment

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

· Certification for MR by ARRT or ARMRIT
