The role you’ll contribute:
Responsible for performing ultrasound exams and documenting proper charges while supervised by credentialed sonographer.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
Performs standard US examinations and has all exams checked by credentialed sonographer prior to patient leaving department.
Schedule patients for examinations.
Assist with evaluating the nature of critical and emergency procedures, and rearranging patients scheduled to accommodate them.
In performance of ultrasound examinations, receive patient, explain method of procedure, select proper transducer, follow set protocols and scan appropriately as indicated by clinical diagnosis.
Recognize abnormalities while scanning and make appropriate exposures.
Present diagnostic sonograms and paperwork to the radiologist with appropriate patient history for review to allow for further scanning and to avoid repeat scans.
May assist credentialed sonographer with “on-call” exams.
All other duties as assigned by management.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
· Enrolled in accredited sonography program and in their 2nd year.
