The role you’ll contribute:
Under moderate supervision, repair, calibrate, and maintain medical equipment, instrumentation and support systems used in healthcare delivery, inventory assessment/audits and preventive maintenance of medical equipment. Provide remedial corrective maintenance and maintain documentation of all service events, tests, and maintenance performed on clinical equipment. Understand the application and repair of computers and servers and how they interface with medical equipment. Must be able to use diagnostic test equipment to define and resolve problems with clinical equipment. Maintains safety standards in all work activities. Maintain up-to-date records on all equipment in the work order software database including but not limited to: Repair and PM schedules, outside vendor activities, contracts and budget management. Communicate with manager and team members regarding work and equipment status. There is on-call rotation with this position.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
Repair, install, maintain, calibrate, and inspect medical equipment and instrumentation, including life-support equipment.
Document repair tickets from third party vendors.
Assist with and evaluate third-party repairs.
Provide technical assistance and instruction to personnel regarding equipment operation and maintenance.
Communicate with department managers and team members on equipment repairs and status.
Utilizes Joint Commission recommendations and AAMI standards for medical equipment.
