The role you’ll contribute:
Perform specific tasks or routines supportive to delivery of patient care in the assigned nursing
The value you’ll bring to the team:
Assists nurse with assigned patients
Initiates Advanced Paramedic protocols, i.e. ECG and limited lab, radiology, and medications.
Performs accurate order entry.
Executes verbal orders for medications and treatment limited to protocols and during ACLS and PALS codes.
Provides care to patients in accordance with standards of care:
Provides assistance with basic hygiene, comfort, and activities of daily living.
Reports change of condition changes, potential problems or concerns involving the patient or family to the nurse (i.e. vital signs, Intake/Output).
Completes 12-Lead EKG.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :
High school education or equivalent
Completion of a formal Paramedic training program
State of Florida Paramedic License
AHA BLS, ACLS and PALS
