The role you’ll contribute:

Perform specific tasks or routines supportive to delivery of patient care regarding dialysis. Will also perform vascular access, IV starts and central line maintenance when available. Responsible for the inventory and ordering of supplies, equipment and services needed to support the efficient operation of the assigned nursing unit and patient care delivery.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Rinse, prime and position all appropriate equipment, attach all required tubing, prepare dialysate, calibrate, and check alarms, set monitors, and perform a system check as required.

• Provide the highest level of critical acute nursing care to ensure patient safety, comfort, and well being

• Perform patient assessment prior to treatment and proceed with treatment based on such assessments and physician’s orders.

• Obtain blood samples and other specimens as indicated by patient’s condition or as ordered.

Qualifications

What You Will Need:

• Active Florida RN or APRN license required upon hire.

• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or RQI upon hire and then renewed quarterly following RQI protocols

• Current American Heart Association ACLS certification or RQI upon hire and then renewed quarterly following RQI protocols

• Current NIHSS Certification required upon hire

• 8 hours of Stroke Education within 6 months of hire date, then annually.

• 8 hours Hip & Knee Replacement / Spine Education within 6 months of hire date, then annually.

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a minimum of an Associate of Science degree upon hire

• Minimum of one (1) year RN experience upon hire
