Job Description:

Collaborates and coordinates patient care activities among the interdisciplinary patient care team. Identifies needs and develops or modifies plans of care, supervising other healthcare team members. Acts as a liaison between physicians, sales consultants, internal customers, and management team. Engages in unit/service line budgeting processes to ensure a cost-effective, quality-focused environment. Provides input for personnel performance evaluations and recommends pertinent education. Coordinates shift operations, activities, resources, and associates. Serves as a technical resource and performs similar duties with staff. Monitors and reports departmental compliance with policies and procedures. Coordinates and assists with staff orientation and training. Documents and reports supply, instrument, and equipment utilization and maintenance. Schedules meetings with medical leadership, physicians, and other key staff. Performs other duties as assigned. Participates in quality and performance improvement activities to improve patient outcomes.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry [Preferred]
• Ability to evaluate staffing and equipment needs [Preferred]
• Ability to maintain records and prepare reports for analytical review [Preferred]
• Ability to think critically, make sound decisions, and manage multiple competing priorities [Preferred]
• Ability to interact appropriately with patients, families, staff, physicians, and the community [Preferred]
• Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English [Preferred]
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Preferred]

Education:

• Associate’s of Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor’s of Nursing [Preferred]
