Job Description:
- Develops and implements the division-wide quality improvement plan in alignment with organizational goals, laws, and accreditation standards.
- Coordinates and integrates quality improvement processes throughout the organization.
- Develops clinical outcome metrics, ensures accountability, and drives ongoing evaluation and process improvement.
- Analyzes data trends and coaches nursing teams to improve performance.
- Develops, assists with, and monitors systems and procedures for quality measurement data collection and analysis.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Strong understanding of complex pathophysiology and surgical procedures to make decisions on the appropriateness of clinical care to measure quality and outcomes [Required]
• Strong understanding of the care of cancer patients across the care continuum. [Required]
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills [Required]
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills [Required]
• Knowledge of Oncology based accreditations such as but not limited to CoC, NAPBC and QOPI [Required]
• Competency regarding communication and relationship building [Required]
• Must be able to function independently with little or no supervision, including working remotely [Required]
• Exceptional planning, time management, and organizational skills [Required]
• Effective communication skills with ability to communicate with physicians, leadership, front line team members, and patients [Required]
• Competence in the latest computing software including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office program: Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point [Required]
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access) [Preferred]
• Knowledge of administration and safe handling of oncology medications. [Preferred]
• Knowledge of cancer registries [Preferred]
• Knowledge of understanding National Comprehensive Cancer Care (NCCN) guidelines [Preferred]
• Knowledge of various electronic medical records such as Cerner, Athena, and Aria [Preferred]
• in Nursing, Healthcare Administration or related field of study and three (3) years of relevant clinical experience
Education:
• Bachelor’s of Nursing [Required]
Field of Study:
• N/A
Work Experience:
• 6+ years oncology nursing experience or other related clinical settings [Required]
• Clinical experience working in a quaternary care hospital system [Preferred]
• Data analytics experience, including data analysis. [Preferred]
• Experience with applying for and maintaining specialty accreditations [Preferred]
