Job Description:

• Promotes a supportive environment for academic partnership by ensuring appropriate student placement and a positive experience.
• Maintains clinical skills as outlined, including completing timely assessments, setting goals, and applying nursing knowledge.
• Teaches students during their clinical rounds, and pre/post conferences. Supports and enforces the course syllabus in collaboration with the course coordinator.
• Develops, designs, and delivers instruction in collaboration with the course coordinator.
• Grades clinical assignments and reviews evaluations with students.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills [Required]• Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures [Required]• Ability to work as a team player within a unit [Required]• Effective verbal and oral communication and problem-solving skills [Required]

Education:
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Required]• Master's of Nursing [Preferred]

Field of Study:
• Radiology Tech program
• Cardiovascular program

Work Experience:
• 2+ years of professional experience in the discipline(s) being taught [Preferred]• Previous preceptor experience [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:
• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]• Basic Life Support BLS Cert [Required]

Qualification Requirements:

Bachelor’s of Nursing (Required), Master’s of NursingAdvanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) – RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement, Basic Life Support – CPR Cert (BLS) – RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) – EV Accredited Issuing Body, Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) – RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement, Registered Nurse (RN) – EV Accredited Issuing Body
