AdventHealth Medical Group Pediatrics at Winter Garden/Apopka – APRN or PA Part-Time Position

The APP, under the supervision of Physicians, is responsible for:

• Performs physical examinations of patients, assessment and treatment of injuries or illnesses for pediatric patients.
• Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine laboratory, X-ray, etc.
• Independent and collaborative medical management of acute and chronic conditions
• Monitors the patient’s course of treatment and makes appropriate referral to either a physician or specialist, as needed
• Collaborates with providers and staff, as necessary to provide consistent care to patients and support to staff
• Combination of outpatient in person visits as well as virtual visits
• Displays a caring and professional attitude at all time as well as maintaining personal and professional growth

Schedule Details:

• Primary Schedule: Tuesday (8-5pm), Thursday (8-5pm), Friday (8-4pm) potential for Saturday morning and additional coverage
• Primary Location: Winter Garden (15502 Stoneybrook West Pkwy Suite 114, Winter Garden, FL 34787)
• Opportunity to pick up additional hours when needed at Apopka, Winter Garden, College Park, Lake Mary, Orange City and Orlando

Education and Experience Required:

• Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies
• Minimum of 5 years pediatric experience

Licensure, Certification, and Registration Required:

• Current, valid Florida APRN or PA-C license
• ANCC, AANP, PNP-PC/AC, or NCCPA (or equivalent) certification
• Current BLS required
