Job Description:
- Interprets information accurately from various noninvasive and invasive monitors.
- Describes the pathophysiology of commonly encountered disease processes and the physiology associated with anesthesia techniques and surgical interventions.
- Applies relevant scoring systems for patient transfer accurately as defined by organizational policy.
- Develops and implements individualized perianesthesia plans of care, including managing recovery from various types of anesthesia.
- Protects patients from injury caused by positioning, thermal sources, and extraneous objects.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Ability to function at a high level in a physically demanding, high-stress environment [Required]• Demonstrated ability to work under stressful conditions [Required]• Ability to work irregular hours including call hours [Required]• Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft® Word) [Preferred]• Moderate Sedation Competency [Required]
Education:
• Associate's of Nursing [Required]• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
Work Experience:
• A minimum of 1 year of PACU experience [Required]
Licenses and Certifications:
• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]• Basic Life Support BLS Cert [Required]
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert ACLS Cert [Required]
