Job Description:
Shift: Monday – Friday 7am – 3:30pm
Setting: Three days per week in a classroom setting, 2 days per week on-campus shadowing.
- Provide emotional support to patients and families, demonstrating AdventHealth’s commitment to compassionate, whole-person care.
- Demonstrates respect for co-workers and develops positive working relationships with other departments and personnel.
- Support surgical teams by preparing instruments, equipment, and supplies. Maintain sterility in the surgical field and anticipate the needs of surgeons and scrub techs.
- Assist in specimen collection, labeling, and handling according to AdventHealth policies.
- Participate in counts (sponges, sharps, instruments) to ensure patient safety. Considers factors related to safety, effectiveness, cost, and impact on practice in the delivery of nursing services.
- Maintains safe practice by demonstrating unit-specific clinical competency and compliance with all regulatory standards.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification [Required]
Education:
• Associate's of Nursing [Required]
Field of Study:

Licenses and Certifications:
• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]• Basic Life Support – CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
