Job Description:

Reviews patient charts to extract relevant data for CORE MEASURE reporting. Submits and presents reports for meetings within required timeframes. Facilitates organizational compliance with required data reporting through thorough chart reviews and data extraction. Promotes improved outcomes of care through detailed data analysis and reporting. Communicates effectively with co-workers, physicians, and colleagues in other departments to ensure accurate data collection and reporting. Demonstrates cooperation, teamwork, and cultural sensitivity when working with others. Applies knowledge of professional standards of care when evaluating patient care or physician-related incidents and making recommendations. Uses performance improvement methods, including data analysis, reporting, and PDCA methodology, to enhance clinical programs or projects. Compiles data reports, assists in data analysis, and develops performance improvement action plans for units, divisions, or teams. Facilitates compliance with hospital policies, Joint Commission standards, and state and federal regulations using performance improvement processes such as RCAs, FMEAs, mock patient tracers, and recredentialing file reviews. Demonstrates commitment to professional and personal growth. Abstracts CORE MEASURE charts accurately and completely to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Prior experience in quality management and/or utilization/resource management activities such as chart reviews, data extraction, data collation, data analysis. [Required]• Word processing (PC applications) skills, able to prepare reports and simple tables. [Required]• Cerner usage [Preferred]

Work Experience:
• 2+ experience with advanced pc applications preferred (spreadsheet and graphics) [Preferred]• 2+ experience with data analysis and interpretation preferred [Preferred]• 3+ quality improvement experience [Preferred]• 5+ prior work experience as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital or health care quality experience within a hospital setting [Required]• Experience with team facilitation in a Continuous Quality Improvement environment. [Required]• Fifteen – twenty (15-20) years of RN experience in health care preferred or Medical Education [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

  • FL RN License required
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) [Preferred]
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) [Preferred] 

Pay Range:

$66,170.74 – $123,073.07
