Job Description:
Evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practices and services by analyzing internal and external data to identify improvement opportunities. Collaborates with nursing staff, interdisciplinary teams, medical staff, and executive officers to develop, implement, and evaluate programs and services. Assesses performance based on professional standards, studies, regulations, and organizational criteria to identify strengths and areas for development. Maintains responsibility for all assigned departments on a 24/7 basis, unless otherwise approved. Integrates evidence-based knowledge to identify best practices in nursing care delivery. Plans, organizes, coordinates, and directs department functions to ensure services meet established standards and regulatory requirements. Promotes and monitors regulatory accreditation standards, patient experience expectations, and service delivery standards. Meets regularly with clinical leaders and staff to obtain feedback and provide guidance for outcome improvement. Fosters positive employee relations and creates an environment that maximizes personnel performance and accountability. Collaborates with Human Resources for recruitment, retention, onboarding, orientation, and staff evaluations. Facilitates leadership development, mentoring, and education programs for staff to promote professional growth. Participates in strategic planning for new programs or expansions, including equipment, staffing, and space requirements. Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
