Opportunity Overview

AdventHealth Palm Coast is seeking a dedicated and mission-driven Advanced Practice Provider (APRN/PA-C) to join our growing Surgical Oncology team within the Digestive Health Institute. This is a unique opportunity to practice at the top of your license in a highly collaborative, patient-centered, and innovative environment—serving patients with complex cancer diagnoses in a new state-of-the-art Cancer Center on Florida’s beautiful northeast coast.

This position will replace a valued APP transitioning specialties, ensuring continuity of care for our patients while offering the incoming provider strong mentorship, a cohesive team culture, and career development support.

Position Highlights

Specialty: Surgical Oncology (Digestive Health Institute)
Practice Model: Established and growing surgical oncology practice led by Dr. Abubaker Ali
Schedule: Balanced schedule of 2–2.5 clinic days, 4 hours administrative time, and 1 week of acute call/month (with no clinic during call week)
Collegial Support: Team-based care model with 1 surgeon, 2 APPs, and robust clinical staff
Location: Palm Coast, FL – practice split between AdventHealth Palm Coast and AdventHealth Palm Coast Parkway campuses
Call: 1:4 rotation, shared between physicians and APPs

Preferred Experience/Skills:

• This position does NOT include OR time
• Cancer surgery and post-op management
• EHR/Computer proficiency
• Bilingual/second language skills (preferred, not required)

Candidate Qualifications: 

• Have a background in Surgery or Critical Care with experience in cancer patient care
• Be comfortable with pre- and post-operative care, wound management, and oncology navigation
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and thrive in a team-based, academic-style setting
• Demonstrate confidence in working independently after training, with strong clinical judgment
• Be mission-aligned, compassionate, and motivated to improve outcomes for oncology patients
