Job Description:
Promotes a culture of excellence in customer service, modeling respectful, mission-aligned behavior in all interactions. Collaborates with university departments on cross-functional initiatives and actively participates in committees and community service events that support institutional priorities. Represents the department and university in internal and external meetings, serving as a liaison to academic, corporate, community, and governmental stakeholders as appropriate to the department’s function. Acts as a dedicated advocate for housing residents, ensuring their needs and concerns are effectively addressed. Collaborates with Campus Security to oversee Housing Emergency drills and assumes the role of Evacuation Director during emergencies. Oversees the maintenance of facilities and manages the work order system to address issues promptly. Oversees move-in and move-out procedures to ensure a seamless and organized process. Offers opportunities for the spiritual growth of residents and staff within the housing community. Provides reports and documentation on any policy violations to AHU administration. Publishes and implements all Resident Assistant (RA) training programs in compliance with Federal guidelines, including Campus Safety Authority training in accordance with the Clery Act. Leads daily department operations and manages the departmental budget to ensure alignment with the University’s mission, strategic plan, and institutional goals, with oversight from senior leadership. Establishes, implements, and evaluates departmental policies and procedures in collaboration with institutional leadership and compliance standards. Contributes to and executes the department’s strategic plan, setting a clear vision and following through on key initiatives and deliverables. Ensures staff compliance with all regulatory requirements and fulfills reporting obligations to accreditation bodies, compliance offices, and senior leadership within required deadlines. Other duties as assigned. Hires, and develops departmental staff by setting clear performance expectations, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, and addressing performance issues to foster professional growth and team effectiveness.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Bachelor’s in health or social sciences, education, or related field discipline and three (3) years of experience in higher education or equivalent managerial skills [Required]• Master’s in health or social sciences, education, or related field discipline and five (5) years of experience in higher education or equivalent managerial skills; demonstrated leadership and creative accomplishments in an administrative role at an institution of higher learning [Preferred]
