Job Description:
Responsible for developing inventory forecasts to support medical and surgical products. This position manages inventory levels, demand planning, and scheduling of inventory products from manufacturers. Additionally, this role supports product volume forecasting, inventory allocations, new product introductions, and contract portfolio conversions. In addition, this position assists with integration into the distribution center and resolves forecast exceptions. Responsibilities for this role include maintaining inventory strategies in the Demand Management System and ensuring sufficient inventory levels to meet unplanned demand. This role contributes to the overall effectiveness of planning and scheduling across all distribution centers.
- Reviews and sets optimal inventory levels using system-generated demand plans and EOQ tools.
- Periodically reviews forecasted demand for assigned product categories with relevant materials management and clinical user groups, adjusting forecasts as needed.
- Reviews and approves system-generated replenishment orders.
- Reschedules, expedites, and cancels purchase orders in the system to maintain accurate performance reports.
- Provides supplier performance feedback and responds to routine supplier performance surveys.
- Communicates supply or quality issues and supplier concerns that may impact customer operations and patient care.
- Processes material returns and coordinates refund activities with internal departments and suppliers.
- Maintains relevant data in the TECSYS inventory management and procurement applications.
- Manages changes according to appropriate change control procedures.
- Resolves accounts payable, supply quality issues, receiving discrepancies, and shipping problems.
- Works under minimal direct supervision, taking initiative to resolve problems and improve processes.
- Maintains assigned performance measurements, records, and reports in the system.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Ability to communicate effectively [Required]
• Ability to work with people of various backgrounds and job responsibilities [Required]
• Ability to handle a high-volume workload in an organized manner under stressful situations and deadlines [Required]
• Computer skills, including extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access), Warehouse Management Systems, and ERP Systems [Required]
• Strong understanding of components and data flow for simple to highly complex systems [Required]
• Proficient in inventory management and forecasting, thorough knowledge of all tools, processes, methodologies, and standards [Required]
• Working knowledge of inventory control methods and Economic Order Quantity models [Required]
• Must be comfortable in a collaborative environment with other teams and other Demand Planning Team Members [Required]
Education:
• Bachelor's [Required]
Work Experience:
• 3+ years relevant/equivalent experience [Required]
• Previous experience with demand/sales forecasting using various forecasting software required, inventory control methods and Economic Order Quantity models [Preferred]
• TECSYS WMS/DMS/DM experience [Preferred]
