Job Description:
AdventHealth will bring a 60-acre health and wellness campus to Lake Nona in late 2026. This location will offer medical innovations on a campus designed around whole person health with comprehensive services, destination lifestyle programs, and much more that will shape the next generation of health care.
We are proud to be a part of the growing Lake Nona community with an established comprehensive network of care. Our services include emergency services, urgent care, a wide range of medical specialists (including primary care), lab, imaging, orthopedics, sports medicine and rehabilitation.
Schedule: Full-time, Days, 40 hours per week

The value you'll bring to the team:
-
Assists anesthesia providers with patient assessment, monitoring, transporting, positioning, insertion of intravenous and other invasive lines, and airway management.
-
Maintains and troubleshoots anesthesia equipment malfunctions. Ensures necessary equipment and supply inventory remain in stock.

Provides routine and emergency services for anesthesiologists. Assists with schedule preparations, including emergent and urgent surgical procedures involving anesthesia.

Assists anesthesia professional staff with preparation and draping of patients for invasive monitoring/procedures and anticipates needs for invasive monitor insertion and procedures.

Sets up operating room for cases, including preparation of laryngoscope, intubation equipment, IV solution, tubing set-up, and IV warming devices.

Provides peri-operative technical support to the anesthesia professional staff for delivery of patient care.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-
Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals (Required)

Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry (Required)
-
Knowledge and basic skills related to aseptic/ sterile technique and sterility of supplies (Required)
-
Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English (Required)

Ability to appropriately monitor dosages and use clinical equipment (Required)
Education:
-
High School Graduate or Equivalent (Preferred)
-
Associate's degree (Preferred)
-
Technical/Vocational School (Preferred)
Field of Study:
-
Completion of an Anesthesia Technology training program (Required)
Work Experience:
-
1+ experience as an anesthesia tech (Preferred)
Additional Information:
An equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of the stated degree requirement: Completion of an Anesthesia Technology training program OR 1+ year experience as an anesthesia tech
Licenses and Certifications:

Basic Life Support – CPR Cert (BLS) (Required)

Anesthesia Technician Certification (AT) OR Certified Anesthesia Technologist (Cer. A.T.T.) (Preferred)
