Breast Reconstructive Surgeon – AdventHealth Apopka/Winter Garden

Overview

AdventHealth Medical Group is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with a strong interest and focus in breast reconstruction to support the continued growth of breast surgery services in the Central Florida Division.

This opportunity is primarily focused on non-microsurgical breast reconstruction, working closely with breast surgery teams at AdventHealth Apopka and AdventHealth Winter Garden. The ideal candidate will have a passion for reconstructive care, patient-centered outcomes, and collaborative multidisciplinary practice.

The incoming surgeon will serve as the sole provider in a dedicated plastic and reconstructive surgery practice located in West Orange County, while benefiting from the collegial support and collaboration of a network of six plastic surgeons across AdventHealth’s Central Florida Division. A strategic growth plan is in place to support the new physician’s success from day one, with a strong referral base and meaningful opportunity to help shape breast reconstruction services across the market.

While the predominant focus of the practice will be breast reconstruction, the position also includes general plastic and reconstructive surgery. There may also be opportunities to incorporate general cosmetic procedures into the practice based on the surgeon’s interest and program needs.

Hospital Description

AdventHealth Winter Garden, a part of AdventHealth Orlando, opened in 2016 as a state-of-the-art emergency facility featuring board-certified physicians trained in the care of both adults and children. AdventHealth Winter Garden opened its new inpatient tower in May 2022, a $229.5 million expansion which brings critical services to the fast-growing West Orange community. The new tower provides 80 private rooms and space for new services, including orthopedics, advanced gynecology, cardiology, gastroenterology, general and robotic surgery, neurology, spine health, colorectal and urology.
