Job Description:

RN Employee Health Clinic NE Part-time

Location: Ottawa, KS

Shift: Part-time Days

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitates triage and transport of injured workers to appropriate facilities.

• Manages employee medical records using the EMR system, ensuring accurate data entry and report checks.

• Documents orders, procedures, and assessments legibly and accurately from check-in to check-out.

• Processes employees from new hire to annual compliance, including screenings and drug tests following federal procedures.

• Conducts respirator fit testing in accordance with OSHA standards and AdventHealth policies.

• Relays discharge and follow-up instructions to employees using approved tools.

• Participates in AdventHealth compliance initiatives and training.

• Supports Employee Health services such as return to work and Covid-19 employee line.

• Other duties as assigned. Collects and processes blood work according to AdventHealth protocols.

• Maintains knowledge of required immunizations for healthcare workers and adheres to AdventHealth policies.

• Performs clinical duties under standing orders from the Medical Director.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Demonstrated ability to communicate by reading, writing legibly, speaking, and comprehending English effectively in order to carry out job requirements

• Comprehensive knowledge of general nursing theory and practices

• Familiar with OSHA, CDC, and other regulatory bodies

• Proficient organizational skills

• Ability to multitask

• Proficient customer service skills

• Proficient in critical thinking

• Ability to work independently under standing orders

• Phlebotomy skills

• Proficient with immunization techniques

• Familiar with standard precautions and infection control protocols

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word

• Ability to review programs and identify appropriate employee health management initiatives

• Ability to monitor effectiveness measures for employee health programs to improve employee health and well-being

• Ability to review employee work and progress and prepare written reports

• Ability to analyze and assess employee health data, techniques, methodology, equipment operations, and quality control to ensure accurate information representation

• Knowledge of AOHP guidelines, standard of care

• Administering IM, Sub-Q, and intradermal injections

• Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and valid AHA Advanced life support certification (ACLS, PALS, NRP) per specialty/unit requirements [Preferred]

• Ability to deal efficiently and effectively with a wide variety of individuals

• Highly analytical and detail-oriented with strong organizational, communication, record-keeping, and multi-tasking skills

• Demonstrated critical thinking skill with a strong customer and patient focus

• Proficiency in using various computer programs

• Knowledge of occupational health software, especially Systoc, [Preferred]

• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of personal information, and possess and model the highest level of personal integrity

• Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, in English

• Ability to understand and effectively help facilitate strategies and goals and organizational objectives

Education:

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]

• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Work Experience:

• 2+ Nursing Experience [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]

• Basic Life Support – CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

Pay Range:

$32.83 – $61.05
