Job Description:

• Monitors patients during stress tests for any adverse reactions.

• Observes EKG for changes in heart rhythm and responds appropriately.

• Completes stress tests by achieving desired outcomes according to testing standards.

• Enters testing results accurately into electronic health records.

• Maintains and calibrates stress testing equipment.

• Educates patients on the stress testing procedure and addresses any concerns.

• Collaborates with healthcare team to ensure patient safety and accurate test results.

• Follows established protocols and guidelines for stress testing.

• Documents patient information and test results thoroughly.

• Ensures a clean and safe testing environment.

• Operates stress equipment to conduct stress tests on patients.

• Hooks patients up to a 12-lead EKG monitor for stress tests.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Computer knowledge [Required]
• General Math [Required]

Education:

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

Field of Study:

• N/A

Work Experience:

• 1+ medical office experience [Preferred]
• Previous experience in telemetry [Preferred]
• Previous experience with 12 lead EKG [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Basic Life Support – CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Emergency Medical Tech Cert (EMT) [Preferred] OR Licensed Paramedic (PARA) [Preferred]

Pay Range:

$20.58 – $32.92
