The role you'll contribute:
The Simulation Operations Specialist I (SOS I) plans and executes all operational and technical aspects of simulated learning activities, simulation-based education, and scenario-based training for the AdventHealth system and associated programs/partners, including Graduate Medical Education, the AdventHealth University and the AdventHealth AHA Training Center. The SOS I develops operational and technical proficiency with all aspects of the operation, maintenance, support, troubleshooting, implementation, hardware/software updates, and repair of all system simulation labs' inventory, such as the human patient simulator systems, simulation task trainers, associated medical equipment, and computer/audiovisual systems. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Ensures simulation events are fully immersive through proper room orientation, environment realism, and application of medical moulage and simulated medical conditions.
Assists with planning, coordinating, and executing all simulation exercises, courses, conferences, and workshops.
Supports all aspects of the learning environment before, during, and after simulation exercises, including direct interaction with participants and adjustments to scenarios.
Serves as on-site liaison for Standardized Patients/Role Players and works with department stakeholders to meet simulation resource needs.
Manages and maintains all equipment, including simulators and computer/audiovisual equipment, ensuring proper working order, maintenance, warranty support, and software updates.
Communicates with vendors regarding maintenance, repairs, updates, and technology changes.
Supports management of medical supply inventory required for simulation learning and maintain accurate inventory of equipment and supplies.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed :
Associate degree (Preferred)
3 Work Experience (Preferred)
Ability to map clinical, educational and operational processes, gather and analyze evidence-based data and effectively present information to various levels of audiences.
Working knowledge of current human patient simulators and simulation/audiovisual platforms, including Laerdal, Gaumard, and CAE Healthcare.
Strong organization and interpersonal skills.
Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex concepts and ideas in understandable terms to all levels of internal staff (customers).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a matrix-management environment to achieve organizational goals.
Solid leadership skills, initiative, and self-direction.
