Schedule: Part Time

Shift: Day 7 am to 7 pm (Rotating weekends)

Location: 120 N OAK ST, Hinsdale, 60521

The role you'll contribute:

Responsible for coordinating the efforts of the multidisciplinary treatment team to provide comprehensive care for patients. This position administers, supervises, coordinates, and evaluates the nursing process to maintain and improve patient outcomes. Additionally, this role ensures compliance with regulatory standards, established policies, protocols, and procedures. In addition, this position collaborates with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care and utilizes pertinent references as guidelines for clinical practice. Responsibilities for this role include supervising and teaching other personnel, administering medications and treatments, and critically evaluating evidence for application to clinical practice.

Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to evaluate patients' physical, mental, and emotional health. * Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and patient needs. * Coordinate multidisciplinary care by facilitating collaboration among healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, social workers, and therapists. * Monitor patient progress, regularly review, and adjust care plans based on patient responses and outcomes. * Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure everyone is informed and involved in the care process. * Document patient information accurately, including assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes in the patient's medical record. * Administer medications and treatments safely, ensuring adherence to protocols and patient safety. * Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, and care plans to promote understanding and compliance. * Supervise and direct the activities of nursing and support staff, ensuring adherence to care standards and evaluating performance. * Evaluate discharge planning needs and coordinate patients' discharge requirements to ensure a smooth transition from hospital to home or another care facility. * Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and established policies, procedures, and protocols. * Address and resolve issues related to patient care, staffing, and resource allocation, implementing solutions to improve processes and outcomes.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

  • Associate's of Nursing Required

  • Bachelor's of Nursing Preferred

  • One or More years of Work Experience Required

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) Preferred

  • AVADE (AVADE) Preferred

  • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) Required

  • Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) Preferred

  • Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) Preferred

  • NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS) Preferred

  • Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) Preferred

  • NIH - National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification Preferred

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Protocol (NRP) Preferred

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Protocol Advanced (NRPA) Preferred

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) Required

  • Registered Nurse (RN) Required

  • NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS) Required

  • Trauma Nurse Course Certified (TNCC) Preferred

  • Chemotherapy Certification (CHEMO) Preferred

  • American Heart Association Preferred
