The community you'll be caring for: UChicago Medicine AdventHealth (will be assigned to the Bolingbrook or GlenOaks Hospital location)
The role you'll contribute:
The Physician Relations Representative is responsible for growing hospital volumes, market share and brand preference for Uchicago Medicine AdventHealth. The position is responsible for maximizing growth opportunities, ensuring physician satisfaction with a specific focus of meeting with community & hospital employed physicians, office staffs, executing on new business development, service line growth and physician communication. The position works collaboratively with key stakeholders including physicians, business development, strategic planning, physician relations, marketing, care navigation, communications, and service line leadership to achieve overall market performance and business strategy goals.

Manages targeted physicians and practices for referral development and retention, focusing on service lines and outpatient imaging services.
Identifies, initiates, and maintains contact with key referral sources to develop business relationships.
Manages prospect list and territory database to meet assigned goals and maximize impact.
Makes face-to-face contacts and presentations to current referring physicians and potential prospects.
Conducts proactive field work with targeted physicians and office staff to identify needs and match them with organizational offerings.
Develops relationship sales funnel and physician profiles to track intelligence, referral desires, and potential referral relationships.
Coordinates team presentations with service line managers and specialists to referring physicians.
Regularly shares service line enhancements with referring physicians on behalf of the organization.
Documents physician visits, contacts, issue resolution, and market intelligence in customer relations management software.
Implements issue resolution processes and acts as liaison for information between parties.
Provides information internally to facilitate physician access to services, issue resolution, and new offerings.
Develops and manages sales plans, including analyzing physician information and identifying key sales strategies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
The expertise and experience you'll need to succeed :
Bachelor's Required
Six or more years of Work Experience Required; healthcare sales experience, preferably in hospital sales needed; comparable clinical experience and knowledge may be considered in lieu of sales experience
Excellent negotiation and communication skills, including verbal, written and public speaking (platform skills)
Ability to develop and sustain professional relationships and loyalty to the hospital as well as develop new referral sources
Demonstrate initiative, poise, confidence, and willingness to accept challenges.
Ability to travel between hospital and physician offices.
Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the demands of the position
Must possess good time management skills and be customer and results oriented.
Familiarity with hospital operations, language, and roles.
Ability to verbally articulate service line and product attributes
Ability to actively listen to physician and practice needs for hospital inpatient/outpatient services.
Ability to conceptualize and generate sales within a fluid environment, with skill in identifying and setting priorities.
Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interact with physicians, employees, allied health providers and healthcare leadership.
Demonstrated writing ability.
Knowledge of the hospital sales industry.
Self-directed with an ability to oversee multiple projects/activities simultaneously.
Driver's License (DL) Required
