Job Description:

• Leads and supervises team of Project Coordinators, Project Mangers, Senior Project Manager 1s and support staff as they provide design and construction services to AdventHealth’s CFD.

• Assigns and oversees the work of the team to assure projects are progressing appropriately, frequently visits job site throughout construction, follows established procedures of the Design & Construction department.

• Utilizes pre-construction understanding of operational considerations to consistently assess project risks and formulates mitigation plans as needed.

• Accurately manages multiple projects simultaneously, successfully develops and updates project budgets as required utilizing “Project Budget Tracking Form.”  

• Delivers projects in a timely and cost-efficient manner in accordance with the approved project scope.

• Effectively collaborates on several projects with another Project Manager, leads project evaluation meetings and administrative reviews from conception to completion.  

• Manages the negotiation and bidding of the project; develops, manages, and delivers a project change control process as needed to ensure project team operates within the scope and change approval process.

• Monitors subcontractor activities to guarantee compliance with project budget and specification requirements and administers RFIs and Change Orders.

• Effectively prepares and presents technical and/or educational documentation of assigned projects to enhance the knowledge of our customers and team members affected.

• Actively participates in internal and/or external training programs, staying current and compliant on application or technical skills applicable to assigned duties.

• Promotes good staffing practices by maximizing the utilization of human resources; forecasts and anticipates personnel needs with regard to fluctuations in the projected workload.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Excellent project management skills to manage multiple mid-sized to large, complex healthcare projects [Required]

• Knowledge of healthcare design and construction techniques [Required]

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and contracts [Required]

• Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills [Required]

• Self-motivated requiring minimal management [Required]

• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work with and manage multi-faceted teams [Required]

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook [Required]

• Comfortable in making presentations to management and customers [Required]

• Proficient in Microsoft Project or similar project management program [Preferred]

• Proficient in e-Builder software program [Preferred]

Education:

• Bachelor's in architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, Construction management or related field [Required]

• Master's in architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, Construction management or related field [Preferred]

Work Experience:

• 5 years’ healthcare design and construction project management experience or equivalent

• 2 years’ experience leading senior executive sponsored projects

• Experience with AHCA regulations, JCAHO/DNV standards, and other applicable codes of the construction industry [Required]

• Extensive experience in managing diverse teams to deliver complex information solutions [Required]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Project Management Professional (PMP) [Preferred]

• Professional Engineer License (PE) [Preferred]

• General Contractor License (GENCON) [Preferred]

Qualification Requirements:

Bachelor’s (Required), Master’sGeneral Contractor License (GENCON) – EV Accredited Issuing Body, Professional Engineer License (PE) – Accredited Issuing Body, Project Management Professional (PMP) – EV Accredited Issuing Body

Pay Range:

$96,266.14 – $179,045.63
