Job Description:

• Attends department meetings and engages in positive dialogue to support department objectives.
• Obtains high-quality scans by following proper exam protocols and adapting procedures to each patient's medical situation. Other duties as assigned.
• Confirms patient and exam accuracy using two patient identifiers before administering exams.
• Performs, documents, and reports all procedures in accordance with departmental policy.
• Reviews images and completes ultrasound worksheets promptly, re-scanning patients as requested by Radiologists.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Abdomen, Abdominal Doppler, OB/Gyn, Small Parts, Vascular, and Interventional Sonographic procedures [Required]
• Ability to learn and master new tasks related to the computer and AGFA Pacs system [Required]
• Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of various diverse backgrounds [Required]
• Ability to function independently with little or no supervision [Required]
• Ability to read and write legibly in English and perform basic mathematics skills [Required]

Education:

• Associate [Preferred]

Work Experience:

• 2+ years experience in vascular sonography [Preferred]

Additional Information:

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologies RT (BS) Preferred

Licenses and Certifications:

• ARDMS – Abdomen (AB)

• ARDMS – OBGYN (OB) 

• Basic Life Support – CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) [Preferred] OR
• Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) [Preferred]
